Our activities
Simed International focuses on designing and constructing hospital buildings
and equipping them with (medical) equipment. Depending on a client’s particular needs, Simed can assist you in finding a solution tailored to your needs. Please find below a brief overview of our activities.
Concept
Each country has a unique health care sector which means: different circumstances, structures and regulations. Our goal in the conceptual phase is to define a project that can be financed. Simed International helps its clients with feasible plans based
on the local situation. We study the options, perform feasibility studies and business plans, take an active hand in obtaining permits and act as an intermediary in arranging funding of the project.
Design
In designing a hospital, the client’s functional requirements are the basis of the project and our foremost concern. These requirements must be in line with the local situation and meet the local laws and regulations. Our experienced team existing of architects, medical facility experts, medical technology specialists and engineers closely monitors the compatibility. They deploy their expertise and experience in converting a schedule of requirements into a fully integrated design.
Construction
There is a huge difference between constructing a new building, equipping an existing facility or relocating an existing hospital with inventory and all. We have experience with both extremes and all in between, from renovation one operating room to establishing a hospital from scratch and we adapt our approach to the specific needs in the project. Equipment
Equipping hospitals is a complicated affair in which price, quality, time and availability must be balanced with the demands of our clients, regulations and end-users. Our product specialists and purchasers have vast experience and range from radiological technicians to applied sciences experts, using their knowledge to procure equipment with the best fit to the project. Simed offers dedicated teams who have contact with more than 2500 suppliers. This enables us to equip hospitals anywhere in the world, thoroughly in line with the requirements of the client.
Services
The key word for the sustainability of buildings and equipment is maintenance. Depending on the client’s specific wishes and requirements, Simed offers a package
of maintenance services to ensure an optimal performance of medical equipment whilst minimizing the costs during its entire lifecycle. Our goal is to contribute to and improve the clinical operation of the customer.
Also human resources, training and education of hospital staff are often key elements within a project. The medical technology used in the hospitals of today is increasingly complex. As a result, more knowledge and skills are required for staff operating and maintaining the equipment, together with the expertise of those who have to operate it. Simed's tailor-made approach will find you an appropriate solution. We have the ability and expertise to help, connecting clients and employees with suitable training facilities on-site or in-depth service and maintenance courses abroad, at main manufacturing sites or in the country of destination.
